Strength.

I’ve held off on blogging for far too long. 2011 was a crazy year for me, emotionally, physically, and financially. I thought about blogging a lot, but I never got around to it.

However, today I discovered something that truly inspired me – oneword365.com.

What is it?

One word that sums up who you want to be or how you want to live or what you want to achieve by the end of 2012.

One word that you can focus on every day, all year long.

Sounds simple, right?

I had barely even considered doing this project before a word popped into my head: STRENGTH. That’s when I knew that I needed to commit to this.

So what exactly is my goal here? Physical strength. Emotional strength. Financial strength. Strength of character. Strength in my convictions and my beliefs. The strength to speak up when things aren’t right. The strength to wake up every day in the face of  adversity, pain, and turmoil. The strength to keep a smile on my face through the tough times. In short, harmony between the physical and mental.

I’ve made resolutions every year (as well as this year, to be honest) and although I’ve done fairly well with keeping on top of them, this seems like a whole new journey. It’s a new way of looking at life. It’s a new way of thinking. It’s truly a new beginning.

I can’t wait to get started.
